CorrVentures LLC is a private development company whose principals have long-established histories of success in developing, managing, and operating projects in the pulp & paper and corrugated packaging markets, similar to the project planned for 1900 River Road.
Hudson Valley Paperboard, LLC (“Hudson Valley”; the “Project”; the “Mill”) will be formed for purposes of designing, building, and operating a new state-of-the-art, 100% recycled, lightweight containerboard mill located in Rensselaer County, NY. Annual production will be 300,000 tons/year.
The Hudson Valley Paperboard (HVP) Project will be built by one of several major globally recognized firms who will have responsibility for the design, engineering, procurement, and construction of the new lightweight containerboard mill operations. Yates Engineering (Birmingham, AL) has been engaged by CorrVentures to assist in completing the Project design and detailed cost estimate, and is being assisted by Greystone Engineering (Saratoga Springs, NY) for remediation and site development support, and CT Male (Latham, NY) for permitting and environmental approvals.
Total HVP Project investment is currently budgeted at approximately $315 million. It is anticipated that a minimum of 200 new construction jobs will be created directly as a result of this effort, with substantial additional jobs being created through the multiplier effect to the surrounding Rensselaer County, NY community. At commercial start up, 100+ permanent jobs will be created. The Project schedule currently anticipates a Q1 2020 financial closing, with commencement of commercial operations in Q1 2022.
